台北木柵動物園 Taipei Zoo

Some people asked me why am I go to zoos so many times.
My answer is: the goal to go to a zoo is not for watching animals,
but for watching and observing what animals are doing.

有人問我為什麼這麼愛去動物園
不都看過了嗎?
我必須說,去動物園的重點不是看動物
而是看動物在做什麼

Taipei Zoo is the largest zoo in Asia,
not only for its size, but also for its plentiful collection of Asia animals.

To visit Taipei Zoo, take the MRT to Taipei Zoo station,
then follow the direction to the Zoo gate.

Taipei zoo is built on a hill, all the way up to the top,
so I recommend you to take the zoo shuttle to the top of the zoo,
then walk down toward the gate to visit animals. Noticed that
the zoo is quite big that you may not be able to visit them all.

During peek time like holiday,
you may need to claim a ticket for Giant Panda House,
however, it's not necessary to have a ticket to visit it when there is no crowd,
especially  before 10 am and after 4 pm.

For more information, visit the official website.

Next to the shuttle train station is the Koala House.
It's not easy to watch Koalas awake, they spent most of their life on sleep,
up to 20 hours  a day. When they are awake, they must be eating.
